We're baaaack!

Hello all, we're back from our fantastic honeymoon to Maui! I will post some pics as soon as possible. Let's just say it was a real wake up call when we arrived back in Syracuse to 20 degree weather from 80 degree weather. Luckily, most of the snow has melted away, however, I have no worries that we won't be pelted again soon with the white stuff. Tim and I are freshly tanned and ready to begin/continue our life as a happily married couple! Poor Timmy is back at work today and it's time for me to clean, drop pics off to be developed and do laundry. Oh! The kitties survived us being gone (big thanks to Mandy for watching the little buggers!) with only minimal disturbance of the house and xmas tree (i.e. xmas cards all over the floor, ornaments knocked off the tree and various other parts of the house in disarray). All is well in the Sredzinski household. :)

Our maui sunset pic taken at a Christmas Day luau in Wailea. I don't know why the scanning of this pic makes Tim look like he has 'pirate eye'! Argh, matey!

The Big Dig

Tim and I survived the first big snowstorm of the season. The airport calculated a record snowfall for December 14th of 10.8 inches. The previous record was 5.7 inches in 2000. Shoveling our parking lot and driveway this morning felt more like at least 15 inches! Tim shoveled 4 times yesterday, including a midnight shift. Our housemates left their cars in the street and were totally plowed in this morning. We are a little peeved with them for not helping shovel at all! They would rather ignore it and deal with it later I guess.

We made it to the vet on time and found out that our kitty is perfectly healthy except for a case of roundworm. He weighed in at 4.5lbs and is still nameless. Right now he's exploring the apartment, but mainly hiding in corners. :) We have yet to introduce him formally to Maddie and Phoebe.

I'm on semester break right now and it's fantastic! We have finally put all of our wedding stuff away and sent out the thank you's and the Christmas cards so now we can sit back and enjoy the season. We're eagerly anticipating our honeymoon to Maui in one week!

Time for me to go enjoy my yummy grilled cheese sandwich that Timmy made for me!

Lazy Sunday

It's a snowy day here in Syracuse. We are expected to receive a foot of snow today into tomorrow. Tim is still sleeping, which is great since he never gets to sleep in. I just finished scouring the Sunday paper for the 'good' ads and the coupons. I went in to visit our new kitty this morning and he was so happy to see me! We have to keep him in the bathroom right now because we haven't been able to bring him to the vet yet. Tomorrow morning is his appointment and then he can join the rest of the family. We still have yet to find a name for him. Any suggestions? The neighbors had been calling him 'Pesto' but we aren't sure we like that name.

Today should be a nice, quiet, lazy Sunday. We may go out to get a cup of free coffee. Tim won a radio contest the other day and he won free coffee for a year! It was ironic because he hates coffee but they let him get hot chocolate. He's also slowly acquiring a taste for cappuchinos. Mainly the ones with titles such as "cinnamon bun" and "french vanilla". :)

Have a great Sunday! Hopefully, I will be able to get this blog swiched over to timandalanna.com soon so that I can post pics.
