Musings

It's been awhile since I last posted. This weekend marks our 3 month anniversary! We will probably go see The Passion movie, grocery shop and hang out. Tim did major cleaning last weekend (bless his heart) while I wrote a paper so we don't have to clean. I'm looking forward to Spring Break in a week. A friend and I are going to the spa! I've never had a professional massage. It should be fun. When times have gotten tough over the last couple of weeks we just keep chanting "spa spa spa" and that gets us through!

Jingles has discovered a new talent: thief. Yes, he takes things and hides them. We've lost pens, chapsticks, lighters, you name it he hides it. He's a cutie though so we forgive him and we eventually find everything. Tonight was a good night in class because my prof. decided to let us take our exam home to write instead of having an in-class exam and now it's not due till March 18th! So, lucky me gets to procrastinate a bit more :)

Ok, well I'll tell Tim to give his half of the story! Hope everyone is well and please let us know how you're doing.

I also wanted to plug this great book that we received from my friend Jackie as a wedding gift. Tim peformed one of the "seductions" this week and it was so romantic! He had this box sitting on the table all week with a note that read "surprise in progress: no peeking!" and it was torture not to open it. He gave it to me last night and inside it had all these nice little compliments and sayings and I guess he's supposed to put more in any time he wants. I will now call it my "Tim mail"!

Happy Valentine's!

Hi everybody! We hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day yesterday.

Well it's been over a week since our last post. Not much has happened. Just another long week of work for me and school for Alanna. We did get to see a free advanced screening of "50 First Dates" starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. It was a pretty funny movie. We won tickets from the Syracuse New Times paper. Alanna also won 2 tickets to the Manlius Art Cinemas and Westcott Cinemas from this free weekly paper. She won by posting a Valentine in the paper to me. Aren't I a lucky guy? She's so sweet.

For Valentine's Day, we got up yesterday morning and exchanged a few gifts. Alanna got me this cool tin full of assorted chocolates. I also recieved some Valentine sleepwear, that I will model for you. They are very comfortable. You can't see the new boxers I'm wearing under those new pants, and you're not going too. Unless there's popular demand!

I bought Alanna this cute little Valentines bear that can record a message and then play it back. The heart lights up during playback, like the picture you just saw. Here's a nice pic of mommy and her babies.

Later on I went to run a few errands. I got the shortest haircut I ever had. Check me out with Jingles.
I also returned with these lovely flowers for my beautiful wife.

Last night we went to Pastino's for dinner. They ran a Valentine's special where we could each choose one of five entrees, an appetizer, soup or salad, and dessert. The food was delicious, but the experience was pretty poor due to the service (or lack thereof). It was not the nice romantic dinner we hoped for. Again, the food was great. As a matter of fact, I'm eating Alanna's leftovers as I type.

We rented a few movies last night, and watched "Old School." That was hilarious. Tonight we'll watch "Intolerable Cruelty" and "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen."

Here is something I got from Ryan Fewins' site. It shows all of the states I've visited in my life. Enjoy!

I hope I didn't go to link happy today with all of the pics. I can't resize the pics on my computer, so let me know if they resize automatically to fit everybody's screens, or if you have to scroll.

Two In A Row!

That's right! Tim's posting two nights in a row!

I'm tired from work today. All day today and yesterday I've been redoing the floors at work. 4 rooms total. I stripped them all with chemicals, and then used the big scrubbing machine (kinda like a buffer) to continue stripping, then clean and wax them with 3 coats. Put that together with the endless shoveling of snow, and I'm worn out. TGIF tomorrow!

Well Alanna's with her friends tonight watching "Friends." I will probably play guitar for awhile, maybe record some riffs I came up with. It's fun to get out the bass and drum machine to make short songs. I don't sing though! But if singing in the car along with a loud radio is any indication of my voice, then I'm an American Idol! Ha!

Here's a pic of Jingles in his new bed. Cute, huh?

Here I am ecstatic about the snow on Saturday morning. That's five inches. After shoveling that, we got about four more inches later on that I shoveled. Then I woke up Superbowl Sunday to shovel three more! Speaking of the big game, we had a good time with Sue and Angie watching at our place. Here's Angie explaining the Panther's defense to Phoebe. Phoebe bet on New England and won!

Well time to get out George Foreman for dinner. Bye!
